Description (or HER record listing)

NEHL - A shaft could be found just off the main lane at Tan Hills through the 19th century, though it had disappeared by the 1910s. It is unknown whether the shaft was an independent pit pre-1850s, though may have been ventilation for the nearby Kimblesworth Colliery.
